A shipwreck half-buried in sand at low tide

Low tide came earlier than the almanac promised, and it took half the beach with it. Where there had been open water that morning, there was now a ship’s ribcage — timbers black with age, keel driven deep into sand that hadn’t seen daylight in a century.
